Bodily traces

PARTICIPATORY RESEARCH PERFORMANCE

2019

Bodily Traces is an invitation for sensing the city in a different way, by being taken by strangers, trusting them, giving your weight to them, finding new sensations, gaining sensorial information, leaving an invisible trace in the space.

Points of interest of the project:

  • to challenge trust in a physical way and cross boundaries of social intimacy

  • to raise awareness about the importance of physical closeness / physical touch / physical contact (to defeat loneliness, depression or isolation)

  • to create a sensorial way of perceiving the city physically: its surfaces, heights, energies, forms, temperature, light, etc

The project has been developed and presented in the frame of Metropolis Residency, in Copenhagen, in July 2019

Duration of the performance in general: 15 minutes (1 participant at a time is taken to the physical, sensorial journey by 4-5 performers.
