Ziggurat Project

GERGŐ LUKÁCS

Gergő Lukács is one of the founders and permanent members of company Ziggurat Project, creating interdisciplinary, site-sensitive performances and art for society projects. His contemporary dance master was Ibolya Holb for eight years. After studying at Budapest Contemporary Dance Academy he participated in dance program KET Terminál led by Tímea Maday and József Hámor. Currently studies Design and Art Management at Budapest Metropolitan University.

Socially engaged and collaborative art are his special focus.
He was the artistic director of Arboretum project in the framework of CAPP programme (Collaborative Arts Partnership Programme) in 2017-18. The results were exhibited at Ludwig Museum – Common Affairs – in Budapest. Alongside Ziggurat Project he works as a performer with Danish company Secret Hotel, led by Christine Fentz, and Living Picture Theatre.
He is also working with video editing, light design, contemporary dance film, facilitation and experiential learning.
